At the September 12, 2007 Town Board meeting, the
Town Board passed a resolution to amend the Agreement/Cost Sharing Plan
for Preswick Glen Legal Fees. Instead of the town paying 6%, as
originally decided, the Town will now be
responsible for 74% of Attorney Vincelette's fees. The New Hartford
Central School has hired their own attorney because they say that they have
different interests than the town and county. Be sure to read
"There's Been a Change in Plans...".

We have had many requests for the Preswick
Glen information so to help
residents get a better understanding of the
Preswick Glen Agreement and the events that occurred prior to and since signing the present Municipal
Services Agreement (MSA) on March 24, 2004, we have added a page presenting the documentation provided by
the previous Town Board.
In order to present both sides of the issue,
we are also including an updated document "Questions and Answers"
written by Jerome Donovan, a member of the Town Planning Board. Mr.
Donovan has raised
many questions regarding the Presbyterian Home's proposed tax exempt status for
residents of Preswick Glen and the Municipal
Services Agreement between the town and the Presbyterian Home.
Whether you are for or against the tax exempt status for
residents of the Preswick Glen, we encourage all Town of New Hartford residents to
review both sides of the issue.
