Below are links to the Preswick Glen Agreements and
some of the
events that occurred prior to and since signing the present Municipal Services
Agreement (MSA) on March 24, 2004. We are also making available the
minutes from Town Board meetings and correspondence from Town and School
Attorneys as listed below in chronological order.
According to a September 21, 2006 Observer Dispatch article, "Preswick
Glen's Tax Status not Known", in a written statement by Supervisor
Earle Reed he said "the town has been told by the IRS that its request for a
determination letter is still being processed. Similar requests from
December 2005 are being evaluated". "We have been further informed...that
the specific agent working on our matter is only as far as the December 2005
requests and will address our matter in the normal course as soon as possible".
If Preswick Glen does
not apply for a tax exemption from the Assessor's Office by March 1, 2007, they
will be assessed for the market value of work that is completed as of that date
and no exemption will be given.
